Black Panther: Wakanda Forever gracefully honored the late Chadwick Boseman as the sequel passed on the hero's moniker, setting the stage for the future of the Black Panther, the nation of Wakanda, and their ever-threatening foes. The second installment into the Black Panther series addressed ongoing challenges while facing new ones - and meeting new characters along the way that continued to broaden Marvel's potential for upcoming slates. The Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo has been expected to provide grounds for fans to meet and connect with the talent behind the most popular mediums of pop culture. As pressure is put on C2E2 prior to their expo, ReedPOP has announced another guest from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Mexican actor Tenoch Huerta Mejía, who simply goes by Tenoch Huerta, has been added to the C2E2 2023 entertainment guest lineup. Huerta, of Aztec and Purépecha origin, has hosted an extensively impressive collection of work popular in Latin America and Spain. His background features both short film and feature-length productions, though his elevation to international stardom following his casting as K'uk'ulkan (though his enemies call him Namor) in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. He brought the Feathered Serpent God to life and embraced the role of the ruler of the underwater kingdom of Talokan. It was confirmed that Namor is one of the first mutants to canonically exist in the Marvel Cinematic Universe alongside Iman Vellani's Kamala "Ms. Marvel" Khan and Sir Patric Stewart's cameo as Professor Charles Xavier in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Prior to their appearance, the Maximoff twins introduced the concept of mutants into the MCU, and other X-Men may be fair grounds for canon status following the MCU-inclusive status of Deadpool 3.
Huerta has been confirmed to appear at C2E2 2023 on both the Saturday and Sunday of the convention. He will be available for both autographs and photo opportunities throughout his two-day appearance at the event. Photo ops and autograph ops retail at $100.00 USD each and can be purchased here. Huerta's attendance at C2E2 will make him the third Marvel Studios cast member to book his appearance, following Captain America and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings talent announced as official guests of the show.
