Up until its 2020 showcase in the Windy City, the Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo has reserved the McCormick Place in the springtime - celebrating pop culture entertainment media as the frigid Midwest winter melts away. The tradition was intially broken after C2E2 2020 experiemented with itself as a winter convention when welcoming fans back in the last week of February. The pattern continued for a second year as C2E2 2021 slated itself as a December event that cut into the heart of the holiday season. C2E2 2022 took a third crack at shaking up event dates as it prepares to test the waters as being a late summer convention. Within a few mere days of the Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo, ReedPop and C2E2 have officially announced their 2023 dates after teasing the return of a long-awaited springtime show.
Popverse Superfan membership holders will receive an exclusive ticket presale link Wednesday, August 3 at 11:00 a.m. CT for C2E2 2023 passes. The general public will have access to purchasing tickets to the 2023 convention on Sunday, August 7 at 5:00 p.m. CT - timed with convenience as C2E2 2022 draws to its close. Seven short months will fill the gap between ReedPop's Midwest staple as C2E2 will return on Friday, March 31st, and conclude on Sunday, April 2nd, 2023. ReedPop has confirmed that their 2023 showcase will return to its rightful place along the lakefront at the McCormick Place.
