Wit Studio, the original studio behind Vinland Saga, is scheduled to hold a presence on the ACen 2023 show floor, but the second season was since passed on to MAPPA to oversee, with Twin Engine creating the new opening.
Vinland Saga follows Thorfinn as he seeks Vinland, and prides itself to be a story of a true warrior in an age of turmoil. The anime is based on the manga of the same title and plot, digging deep into the richness of historical fiction through the seinen subgenre. Vinland Saga's manga debuted on April 13, 2005, and continues to be ongoing. Its anime series debuted its first season in 2019, and the second season is currently ongoing. Anime Central has announced that it will host the Vinland Saga Season 2 Episode 20 World Premiere.
The VINLAND SAGA Season 2 Episode 20 World Premiere is a part of Anime Central's exclusive programming for their 2023 convention. This massive event comes from collaborations with Crunchyroll, Twin Engine, Kodansha U.S., and the VINLAND SAGA Season 2 Production Committee. Without them, this episode's debut could not have been made possible. ACen 2023 Guests of Honor Takahiko Abiru, Yusuke Takeda, and Naokado Fujiyama will come together in conversation to discuss the series, sharing secrets and stories about working on VINLAND SAGA with fans. During the VINLAND SAGA S2 World Premiere & Live Drawing, all three creatives will demonstrate a live drawing before the convention panel audience. Kodansha U.S. and Twin Engine have generously donated prizes which will be given away by panel hosts to attendees during the event. The VINLAND SAGA S2 Live Drawing Panel is set to take place on Saturday, May 20, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in Live Event Room 5 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center.
Other exclusive programming specifically designed for Anime Central includes the Kinema Citrus Art Challenge, where artists can enter for a chance to see their art in Cardfight!! Vanguard will+Dress Season 3, and an open voice acting casting call hosted by Bang Zoom! Studios. ACen returns from May 19th to May 21, 2023, at the Donald E.
