Young Avenger Member Reportedly Cast in 'The Falcon and the Winter Soldier'
Much like many other Disney+ Marvel series, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is no stranger to rumors, predictions, or observations made by fans. As these new series are approaching with full force, a new casting leak may have given away a big surprise.
It is suggested that Elijah Richardson may take up the mantle of Elijah "The Patriot" Bradley, whose legacy lies in a long line of heroes. Bradley, the grandson of Isaiah Bradley, who was the first African-American Captain America, donned his powers after the injection of mutant hormones and a blood transfusion from his grandfather. Reportedly, Richardson will make a two-episode appearance within the span of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, though it is unclear yet how this character will work its way into the show. Murphy's Multiverse confirmed that The Patriot is set after spotting a casting on IMDB.
If we see The Patriot enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he will be the latest addition to other Young Avengers members that have been assembled through other projects. Kathryn Newton takes over the role of Cassie Lang in Ant-Man 3, and Hailee Steinfeld will sharpshoot as Kate Bishop in the upcoming Hawkeye series. Actress Xochitl Gomez is set to appear as another Young Avenger, America Chavez, in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. It is also possible that two more Young Avengers, Wiccan, and Speed, otherwise known as Billy Kaplan and Tommy Shepard, could be seen in WandaVision. As more of these characters are brought into the picture, the chances of a Young Avengers project of its own becomes more and more probable.
