Who's Who: Featured Guests at the Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo

The Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo is gearing up to make its anxiously awaited return to the McCormick Place in Chicago, Ill., after postponing its show into late 2021. While the convention provides something for everyone to enjoy, they have generated a reputation around their guest roster with a multitude of talent across pop culture and entertainment media. Their 2021 lineup has been released and shows off popular industry figures.

  1. Hayden Christensen

He's made it clear that Anakin Skywalker doesn't like sand: it's coarse, and rough, and irritating, and it gets everywhere. Now, Hayden Christensen may have to counter the ruthless heat of Mustafar with the unforgiving cold of Chicago winters, but just for a day or two. Christensen is most recognized for his casting in the Star Wars prequel series and will return as Skywalker in the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series arriving on Disney+ in 2022. In addition, the Canadian-born actor has starred in Little Italty (2018) and Jumper (2008) after starting his acting career at the age of 13. Recent news has reported that Christensen will partake in the upcoming Ahsoka series as well. Christensen will be at C2E2 on December 11th and 12th, where he will be available to sign autographs and take photographs with fans.

2. John Cena

Wrestler-turned-actor John Cena has been in the public eye as a professional athlete and entertainer since 2001. Throughout his wrestling career, he has been featured by the World Wrestling Federation and World Wrestling Entertainment before becoming a free agent. Cena's first cinematic debut was under WWE Studios, and The Marine was distributed by 20th Century Fox in 2006. Through the early 2010s, Cena grew his film and television profile significantly. His more recent on-screen appearances included his role as Dominic Toretto's (Vin Diesel) brother in Fast & Furious 9 (2019) and Christopher "Peacemaker" Smith in The Suicide Squad (2021). Cena has signed on to lead the Peacemaker limited series for HBO Max in 2022. He will be at C2E2 on December 11th where he will be available to sign autographs and take photographs with fans.

Christensen and Cena might serve as the show's main guests, but they're not the only ones who will be in attendance. Joining them will be Steven Strait and Wes Chatham of The Expanse, and will be in the company of a variety of anime voice actors from popular titles who will be meeting guests at the convention. Chris Claremont and Rob Liefeld have been designated as C2E2's comics guests, and have worked closely with the X-Men franchise throughout their careers. Liefeld is responsible for the creation of Deadpool.

C2E2 serves as the largest pop culture and entertainment convention in the Midwest and was first introduced in 2010. C2E2 falls under the expansive roster of ReedPOP! conventions that offer an expansive array of shows on an international level. Tickets for C2E2 2021 can be purchased here.
