Twilight Cast to Reunite at C2E2 2021

Say it - out loud. Cast members from Twilight, the film saga that brought the novel series of the name to life, are headed to the Windy City and have been announced as the latest featured entertainment guests at the Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo. Kellan Lutz (Emmett Cullen), Ashley Greene (Alice Cullen), and Jackson Rathbone (Jasper Hale) are slated to appear at the 2021 convention just weeks before the show's arrival.

The trio first appeared in the Twilight films that were released in 2008 under the Summit Entertainment studio name and created a series of five movies over the span up until 2012. The movies found their inspiration from the quadruple of books authored by Stephanie Meyers, whose vampire-romance series birthed a dedicated fandom.

Lutz, Greene, and Rathbone famously shared the silver screen with co-stars Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen) and Kristin Stewart (Bella Swan). The film series also featured Taylor Lautner as werewolf, co-contender for Swan's affection, and member of the Quileute tribe, Jacob Black. The franchise found its popularity through its supernatural elements, its complex love triangle, and the fiery final battle of the Volturi confrontation.

Much like their once once-vampiric (or shape-shifting) co-stars, Lutz, Greene, and Rathbone have carried on in their acting careers in the post-Twilight era, and have been billed in a number of television and cinematic productions. Lutz is to lead What Remains in 2022, Rathbone is to star in Zero Remain (2022), and Green is top-billed in The Retirement Plan (2022), The Immaculate Room, and Some Other Woman.

All three Twilight guests will attend the convention on Saturday, December 11th, and Sunday, December 12th. They will be available for autograph ops, photo ops, and reflect on their Twilight years during a reunion panel. Lutz, Greene, and Rathbone are only a triad of big names attending the largest comic convention in the Midwest. Talent from film, television, anime, video games, and comics gather under one roof for a weekend-long celebration of pop culture and entertainment media. C2E2 opens its doors on December 10th, 2021 at the McCormick Place in Chicago Ill., and concludes on Sunday, December 12th. Convention badges are still on sale and can be purchased here.
