Rob Zombie Shares Photo of 'Munsters' Shooting Location

Musician and film maker, Rob Zombie, is hard at work at his latest project, an adaptation of the classic 1960's tv series, The Munsters. And today, on Instagram, Zombie shared a photo of where shooting will take place for the film.

The photo, which appeared on the official Rob Zombie Instagram page, shows a gothic castle in Budapest with the caption, "Some damn fine locations here in Budapest." It is likely that this castle will be the original home for The Munsters before they move to the US suburbs.

An incredibly accurate recreation of the exterior of The Munsters home was also built by Zombie and his team and several photos were officially released online back in October 2021.

The Munsters, which is currently in pre-production, will be a feature film set to debut simultaneously in theaters and on NBC-Universal's streaming service, Peacock. The film, while still categorized as a horror, will have a much lighter feel than Zombie's previous films like The Devil's Rejects, House of 1000 Corpses and Halloween.

The film does not yet have a release date, but the plot synopsis for the film states, "Reboot of "The Munsters", that followed a family of monsters who moves from Transylvania to an American suburb."
