Fan Expo Chicago 2023 has already exceeded its mission to make its second show in the Windy City even greater than its first. Formerly Wizard World, Fan Expo Chicago has taken over the responsibility of becoming a central point of celebration across diverse fan cultures in the Midwest. It has graduated past being solely a "comic con" while upholding popular traditions that make these conventions so unique. For conventions that revolve around any form of pop culture or entertainment, there are often high-profile guests billed to make some form of appearance. Wizard World was known for connecting some of the top names in entertainment with fans -- something Fan Expo has dedicated itself to continuing at future events.
Actor and motion-capture filmmaker Andy Serkis will be in attendance at Fan Expo Chicago 2023. Serkis has been named a pioneer in the world of motion-capture performance, and his on-screen presence has earned him numerous awards throughout his career. Through his niche, Serkis has been able to bring memorable characters to life with assistance from the advancement of technology in the arts. His most popular roles include Gollum in The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies, Caesar in the Planet of the Apes” franchise, and Supreme Leader Snoke in the “Star Wars” Sequel Trilogy. Serkis later returned to the Star Wars Universe as Kino Loy in Star Wars: Andor. Other more recent live-action roles include his casting as Alfred Pennyworth in The Batman, and Ulysses Klaue in select Marvel Studios productions.
Serkis will be appearing at Fan Expo Chicago 2023 only on Sunday, August 13th. Photograph and autograph op tickets retail at $110.0 USD and $100.00 USD per piece. A premium autograph option is available, which increases the price to $120.00 USD. Tickets for Fan Expo Chicago 2023 are officially on sale. Fan Expo Chicago will return from August 10 to August 13, 2023, at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Ill.
