'Loki' Confirmed for Season 2

The comic book powerhouse exchanges their typical mid-credit scene for an important announcement following the conclusion of the Loki (2021-) Season 1 finale.

Setting the Multiverse even more into action after a complex final episode sends off Loki's first season while introducing the next greatest threat within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the show leaves itself incredibly open-ended, while promising anxious audiences more to come.

Loki is the third of Marvel's television series arriving as a Disney+ exclusive, following WandaVision (2021) and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021-). WandaVision snagged 23 Emmy Awards from the Television Academy and secures victory for the studio's first defined dedication to television. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier took home five Emmys for itself as the Marvel Cinematic Universe continues its transition between big and small screen. Marvel has a vault of television shows that are either in development or set to stream, meaning that the studio is refusing to slow down in its new venture any time soon.

The Loki finale sticks to its mysterious roots as it sets the stage even more for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022). It's predicted that Loki star Tom Hiddleston will join the rapidly growing cast list. The end credits confirm that God of Mischief will return for more timeline-altering chaos abundant as a multiversal war is set to unfold.

There is no clear indication of when the series will return back to Disney+ as Marvel Studios has stuffed their upcoming programming full with television and film alike. After Phase 4's central villain made his deceptive debut, it looks as if there may be some time before Loki Laufeyson makes his return to both T.V. and the TVA. For now, the peace of mind comes in the form of a Season 2 confirmation.
