'Interview With The Vampire' Series on AMC+ Casts Jacob Anderson as Louis

The cast of the AMC Series, Interview With The Vampire, is filling up quite nicely as the studio announced this week that Game of Thrones star Jacob Anderson has been cast in the leading role of Vampire Louis.

Two weeks after announcing the casting of Sam Reid in the role of Lestat, AMC has made the announcement that, after a long and exhausting casting call, they have landed on Game of Thrones star Jacob Anderson in the leading role of Louis.

A fan-favorite actor from the Game of Thrones series as the character of Grey Worm, Jacob Anderson will be taking the reins on the character originally portrayed by Brad Pitt in the 1994 film adaptation of the wildly popular Interview with the Vampire, based on the novels by author Anne Rice.

As it was reported earlier this month, AMC has acquired the rights to all of Anne Rice’s literary works, 18 titles that include the Vampire Chronicles and Mayfair Witches series. The first TV series to come from that deal is Interview with the Vampire which will debut on AMC and AMC+ in 2022.

Also previously reported, cast in the co-lead role as the vampire Lestat is actor Sam Reid (The Astronaut Wives Club, The Newsreader).

No news on casting for other iconic characters (Armand, Claudia, or Malloy), but we should expect to hear more announcements regarding the highly anticipated series soon as pre-production is already underway.

The new series is expected to bite into the AMC Network and AMC+ in 2022.
