Disney Announces New Disney and Pixar Projects

The Disney Investor Day took the internet by storm as Disney and their plethora of properties presented their upcoming preview of projects, giving a glimpse at what Disney diehards can look forward to both in theaters and through Disney+, including the following highlights:

Soul will lead the pack as the latest Pixar release that will launch on Disney+ on Christmas Day. Celebrating the exploration of identity, Joe Gardener (Jaime Foxx) finds his soul taking a journey that reimagines the joys and wonders of human life.

Dug Days return to the tales of Dug, the lovable, not-so-articulate Golden Retriever who made his animated, fan-favorite debut in Up, in a series of shorts that make the most out of Dug's everyday misadventures.

Chip 'N' Dale: Rescue Rangers will bring a cross-hybrid platform of both live-action and animation which will follow the chipmunk duo voiced by John Mulaney and Andy Samberg.

Baymax! follows the charmingly naive healthcare robot that becomes the beloved side-kick in Big Hero 6 and other returning characters as their new series sets them up for adventures around their culturally overlapping city. Baymax! will also be featured as the Walt Disney Animation Studio's first animated project.

Hocus Pocus 2 brings back the cult favorite Sanderson sisters in a Disney+ original sequel to Hocus Pocus, which Adam Shankman is set to direct.

Moana, The Series is a musical long-form feature following the voyager Moana across her next adventures, telling the stories of the Pacific Wayfinders and animating the vibrancy of their culture and tradition. This will be a Disney+ exclusive.

Disenchanted revisits Amy Adams as Giselle, who entered the real world of Manhattan after falling down a well in her fantasy, animated home. Ten years after her reality-altering accident, Giselle questions if she is truly happy.
