DC FanDome to Announce Television, Film, and Comic Slate on Aug. 22

In lieu of conventions closing their doors around the world amid pandemic fears,

Warner Brothers steps up to the plate to take announcements into their own hands, now that San Diego Comic Con’s famed Hall H is out of the picture.

DCFanDome.com will launch as a free, online live-stage from 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time, and will allow for a full 24-hours worth of access to those who want to catch up on the latest DC news.

"With DC FanDome, we’re able to give fans from around the world an exciting and unparalleled way to connect with all their favorite DC characters,” said Warner Bros. CEO Ann Sarnoff, “as well as the incredible talent who bring them to life on the page and screen.”

There’s a chance that Matt Reeves could finally offer a better glance at The Batman, despite the halt on production in March, or James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad, which has been held under lock and key for so long, has the chance for footage to be released. In addition, Wonder Woman 1984 will be up to bat once again after its twice-removed release date and will join the showcase prior to its October release.

Warner Brothers also assure DC fans that they will see representation for even newer titles such as Black Adam, The Flash, and Aquaman and Shazam! They promise to push past film slates and promise to deliver content from DC Super Hero Girls, Doom Patrol, Star Girl, Pennyworth, Lucifer, Legends of Tomorrow,  Harley Quinn, Watchmen, Titans, Teen Titans Go!, Superman & Lois, Supergirl, and Young Justice: Outsiders.

The online migration for entertainment events has called for improvisation from leading names in the comics game. With convention centers left to be deserted, studios are taking matters into their own hands to tease what they may have in store, and Warner Brothers lead the pack as they are the first to announce their own online convention.
