Hailing true to its name, the Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo gather top names in graphic novel and comic book creation under one roof along the skyline of Chicago, Illinois. The convention's past rosters have boasted impressive talent from the publishing industry and have continued to grow their 2023 lineup by adding two names from DC Comics to their early spring show.
Colorist, cover artist, penciler, and inker Dan Mora began practicing art at the age of 3 after joining his mother at art classes. His father, a professional artist, raised him on comic books as well as works of fantasy, though it was Bruce Timm whom Mora credits as an inspiration for his career path. Mora earned Russ Manning Promising Newcomer Award at San Diego Comic-Con's Eisner Awards in 2016; his work can be found throughout a smattering of DC Comics, most prominently Batman and Superman titles. Mora's work can be followed through his official Instagram page and he will be in attendance at C2E2 throughout the duration of the weekend.
Writer and scripter Scott Snyder has spent time creating comics for both Marvel and DC. Now, he teaches collegiate-level writing courses at institutions across New York. He, too, is a Harvey Award recipient in the Best New Series category and has earned two Eisner Awards for his work on ongoing comic book series. Snyder's best-selling tiles include American Vampire, Batman, Nocterra, and Swamp Thing. He will appear alongside his comic book and graphic novel peers at C2E2 for all three days. Snyder can be found on his official Instagram page.
Snyder and Mora are only a small sample of big names that will fill the convention's halls in the spring. ReedPop has promised that there are still exciting guest announcements on the way and advises those eagerly awaiting incoming news about C2E2 to subscribe to their official newsletter. Fans can keep up to date with all of the latest happenings by following the convention across its official Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter pages. C2E2 2023 will return on Friday, March 31st, and conclude on Sunday, April 2nd, 2023 at the McCormick Place in Chicago, Ill.
