As the Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo creeps forward day by day, fans are keeping on high alert to catch the latest news that breaks from ReedPop, with hopes that the convention company will keep adding on to their seemingly-infinite updates. As the show inches towards its inevitable arrival at the McCormick Place, a new wave of featured guests and talent has arrived.
Twisted Toonz returns to C2E2, bringing along with them David Hayter (Metal Gear Solid), Ross Marquand (Avengers: Infinity War, The Walking Dead, Invincible), Eric Vale (Dragon Ball Z, My Hero Academia), and Jim Cummings (Winnie the Pooh, Ducktales) as they join together for an unorthodox reading of the Trains, Planes, and Automobiles script. The quad of voice actors will attend the show for all three days, and each will be available for photo ops and autograph signings. Twisted Toonz's panel is scheduled to run on Saturday, December 11, at 12:30 p.m.
Leading voice cast from the popular anime My Hero Academia are eager to meet and greet fans who "go beyond, Plus Ultra." Representing U.A. High School are Justin Briner (Izuku Midoriya), Clifford Chapin (Katsuki Bakugo), David Matranga (Shoto Todoroki), and Trina Nishimura (Kyoka Jiro). Other cast members include Kristen McGuire (Tatami Nakagame) and Ricco Fajardo (Mirio Togata). Fajardo, Chapin, Briner, and Nishimura will be hosting photo ops sessions, and all My Hero Academia cast members will be at C2E2 for the extend of the show.
For those who are seeking out that hit of nostalgia, it's morpin' time. In addition to the voice acting guests, select cast from Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers have been added as featured entertainment guests at C2E2 2021. Karan Ashley (Yellow Ranger), Walter Jones (Black Ranger), Jason Narvy (Skull), and Paul Schrier (Bulk) will reignite childhood joy at the convention, and all four will attend each day. Fans who are looking to meet cast members can choose single photo ops or photo op packages that bring their favorites together for a group photo.
Fresh faces will join the ranks of Hayden Christensen (Star Wars, Little Italy, Jumper), John Cena (The Suicide Squad, Fast 9, WWE), cast from The Expanse, other anime and game voice actors, comic creators, comic artists, and a variety of literary guests. Aside from featured guests whose work span throughout pop culture and entertainment, CE2E presents diverse show floor features as well as hundreds of artists and exhibitors that plan to flood the convention hall. C2E2 kicks off on December 10, 2021, and concludes on December 12, 2021, at the McCormick Place in Chicago, Ill. It's not too late to buy last-minute tickets, and a multitude of ticket types can be found here.
