The film stars Will Smith, Jon Bernthal, Dylan McDermott, and newcomers Saniyya Sidney and Demi Singleton as the Williams sisters.
Directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green, the film is an inside look at the rise of tennis's biggest superstars, Venus and Serena Williams, and how their father focused all his efforts on their success and their inclusion in the oftentimes whitewashed world of professional tennis.
This film has Oscar written all over it and is reminiscent of some of the great Will Smith performances of yesteryear including Pursuit of Happiness and Seven Pounds.
King Richard hits theaters and HBO Max November 19.
