Unique exhibitors representing every corner of pop culture and entertainment media are no strangers to the Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo, and the convention continues to immerse every aspect of fandom into its programming each year. While C2E2 honors its roots of celebrating comics and entertainment through its yearly expo, they are keen to tap into the culture of its hometown.
As part of their 12 Days of C2E2 countdown, the official C2E2 Facebook page shared that the Chicago White Sox baseball team will participate in the Exhibitor's Hall. Per the convention's caption on their announcement, "Chicago White Sox are exhibiting at #C2E2 2023! Your South Side team will be bringing their mascot Southpaw for photos, giveaways, and even selling season ticket packages at their booth." C2E2 has previously welcomed the DePaul University Esports Team during their 2020 show and featured former Chicago Bears linebacker Lance Brings as a comic book creator guest, and the White Sox will return as participants in the event as representatives of Chicago's rich sports fan culture.
